Affiliate Revenue - How Important is Article Marketing in Building Affiliate Revenue Sources?

Affiliate revenue is one very strong form of revenue online. The nice, obvious thing about affiliate marketing is you don’t have to have a customer service effort, you don’t have to have your own sales page (although I do recommend a web site with a squeeze page!), and you don’t have to worry about getting paid (as long as you are dealing with reputable affiliate managers and programs).

So what does article marketing have to do with building affiliate revenue? I make the assumption that you already realize that to most effectively build affiliate revenue, you need to build your own list, rather than sending your hard-earned traffic directly to affiliate web sites.

Now, if you are building your own list, and especially if you are writing your own emails, article marketing fits in perfectly. You see, when someone reads your article and chooses to click through to your squeeze page, they already like your style (or they wouldn’t have clicked through). And when they subscribe to your list, and receive your emails, they are much more likely to respond to your recommendations, especially if you are writing your own emails.

By the way, why is it important to write your own emails? When you write all your own copy, from the articles, to the squeeze page copy, to the emails, your subscribers develop a subconscious bond with your style. They liked you at the article, they liked you at the squeeze page, why would you use an affiliate-written email in your campaign? Write your own email, or if you simply cannot write, have the same person writing your emails as writes your articles.
